The Ruined Citadel transforms a once-mighty fortress into a sprawling battlefield of shattered towers, broken battlements, collapsed walls, and desperate defensive positions. Completely modular, the individual sections can be rearranged to create anything from a partially damaged stronghold to the remains of a castle devastated by war.

Your adventurers might be making their final stand as enemies pour through breaches in the walls, desperately holding what remains of the gates. Perhaps they have discovered an abandoned fortress filled with forgotten treasure, hidden chambers, and dangers left undisturbed for generations.

The ruins could instead shelter a notorious bandit company, using the shattered fortress as the center of their operations. A noble has placed a hefty bounty on their heads, and an even greater reward awaits anyone capable of defeating their leader.
