Description

Carved from stone, bone, and whatever its inhabitants could scavenge. The Mountain Hermit Burrows are a sprawling modular settlement featuring eight distinct burrow designs, connecting bridges, ladders, walkways, defensive walls, and gates that can be combined into anything from an isolated hermit village to a fortified mountain stronghold.

Most burrows feature multiple removable floors with playable interiors, allowing encounters to continue inside the structures instead of ending at the doorway.

Turn the settlement into a gnoll village your adventurers must assault to stop raids on a nearby town—perhaps ending with a duel against the chieftain. Make it a goblin city hiding an ancient artifact or crucial piece of information the party desperately needs. Or build a fortified Moon goblin holdout under siege as Bretonnian forces push into the settlement.
